Help in Action

Have you ever needed to be encouraged? I did today. Guess what? God had the perfect encouragement ready for me in His Word. I opened the Bible randomly to Psalm 94:17-19. It was exactly what I needed.

If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.

I needed this, too! I'm so glad I checked your blog this evening! :) Once I was down in the dumps and I told Glory that I would look for something random in the Bible to help me out. I can't remember what it was, but the verse was so random that I burst out laughing. Voila! Happy Faith. Have a good one, Elizabeth! <3

These verses are very encouraging! Thanks for sharing them. I remember reading them recently and them jumping out at me.

This is on a random note, but Elizabeth, I noticed the name you left is "faithful lofgren." Is Lofgren your last name, because it is my last name! I thought that was neat - you don't hear the name Lofgren around much - and was wondering, where you are from? I'm from Alabama, but we have family scattered all over. =)
