C. H. Thomas, 69, Dies at Hospital
Claude Holden Thomas [my 2nd great grandfather or my mother's father's mother's father], 69, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the Twin Falls county general hospital following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 31, 1878, in Albany, Mo.
Following his graduation from the University of Missouri, Mr. Thomas was in the banking business for a number of years, then in the hardware business at Columbia, Mo. for 30 years prior to coming to Twin Falls in 1942. During his residence here he was manager of the Rex Arms apartments.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Ethel N. Thomas, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Wallace G. Gray, Saxon, Mo.; Mrs. Clarence Cress and Claude H. Thomas, jr., both of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Bea Stapleton, Lawrence, Kans., and two grandchildren.
He was a member of the Knights Templar, the BPOE, Kiwanis club and the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Twin Falls mortuary chapel, with the Rev. Mark C. Croneberger, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial park.
The family requests that no flowers be sent.
